Bromsgrove UKIP Branch Committee Members Felt Proud And Privileged To Attend Bromsgrove’s  Remembrance Day Where They Laid a Wreath For Those Who Made The Ultimate Sacrifice.

Today’s ceremony, on a sunny but chilly November Sunday was very well attended, and the parade down
the High Street to the war memorial, was lead by vintage WW 2 period vehicles, followed by area representatives
and members of just about all local  :  military – civil and voluntary bodies.
Present in large numbers were local youth organisations ; Scouts, Cubs, Guides, Brownies, Rainbows etc
and the parade column extended for several hundred yards, under the very able direction of a stridently voiced
ex- HM Forces  N.C.O.  – ( video on  website soon  )
UKIP Bromsgrove were represented by myself, our splendidly attired Chairman, and Mick Clifford ( official branch photographer )
Wreaths were laid in an order of precedence, commencing with the Lady High Sheriff of Worcestershire, and followed by
those representing the major military and civil organisations –
A wreath was laid by The Member for Bromsgrove,  then political representatives of the Conservative
Association,  The Labour Party, and by Adrian for the The United Kingdom Independence Party ( see website ).
The church clock struck  11-00 am and a minutes silence was observed .  followed by an address and hymns,
        concluding with The National Anthem.
A fitting tribute to so many who have given their lives in the service of this nation,  which at last, is on the verge
of regaining its cherished independence.                              Peter McHugh.   Secretary.
